Over a decade ago, I set out to understand what really motivates people. I have spent over 30 years working for some of the world’s biggest and most successful companies as a senior leader, coach and advisor. Very early in my leadership career I realised the well versed carrot-and-stick approach didn't work in fact usually destroyed motivation. So over a decade ago I stepped back into academia to learn and understand what supports us humans to truly thrive and how to apply that science to deliver real performance, more connected lives and boosted health.
